About this building

The small hall church probably dates from the 13th century, but was thoroughly renovated in 1775. A large memorial stone reminds us of this above the entrance of the tower. The stained glass windows were placed in 1937. The well-preserved interior has a rococo pulpit from 1775. The banks, the font and communion table also date from the second half of the 18th century. The organ is from a slightly later date; this was built and installed in 1830 by N.A. Lohman.

The west tower was built in 1662, the upper part and the spire are from 1848. The tower was originally separate, but was later connected to the church. Two loud bells hang in the tower: one from 1709 and a new one from 1985 to replace the older and torn clock from 1538. The church is used three times a year by an ecclesiastical congregation, but also has a multifunctional destination. It offers space for various activities including exhibitions and musical events.
