The Saint Hierarch Nicholas Church was built in 1901 according to the designs of the city architect Vladimir Tiganko.
It was originally the chapel of the city hospital. After a complicated period during Soviet times the church reopened in 1992.
The church combines different architectural styles with a predominance of Russian architecture.
The Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior or Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Savior is an Orthodox place of worship in Chisinau. It is listed in the register of monuments of history and culture of the municipality of Chisinau.
The Cathedral of Divine Providence is a Roman Catholic place of worship in Chisinau built in 1840.
The Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ's Nativity or Cathedral of the Nativity is a neoclassical Orthodox church in Chișinău built between 1826 and 1836.
