The current building of Setúbal Cathedral is a reconstruction of the High Renaissance with an imposing Mannerist façade of a 13th-century church. Inside there are columns with frescoes, sculptures and tiles from the 17th and 18th centuries.
The Church of San Juan de la Plaza is a church dedicated to St. John the Baptist and rebuilt in 1789 during the reign of Maria I of Portugal. It is very close to the Tagus River and the emblematic Alfama district of Lisbon.
The Igreja de Santo Estêvão is a church founded in the 12th century and rebuilt in the 18th century in the Alfama district of Lisbon. The terrace in front of the church offers a wonderful viewpoint over the Tagus River.
The Igreja de São Miguel or Church of St Michael is located in the heart of the Alfama district, the oldest and most emblematic quarter of Lisbon. It is one of the oldest churches in the city.
