Diorios, CY
There are two churches in the centre of Diorios. The older one on the southern edge bears the ekklesionym Agia Marina; the new one on the northern edge (built on two parcels) bears the same name. The new church lies within a guarded military camp and could not be visited or photographed. The old church built in the 19th century is in a poor condition; the bell is still in the bell tower; the eastern wall shows big cracks; these cracks are also affecting the dome. The plaster on the walls is crumbling and scrub and small trees are growing on the roof, thus causing further deterioration.
