Old Reformed Church in the Netherlands

On February 1, 2015, the new church for the Old Reformed Church in the Netherlands (OGGN) in Wekerom (municipality of Ede) was put into use. The church was built next to the old church, a workshop that was converted in 1987. The old church will be demolished. The pulpit from the old church was taken to the new church. And the organ from the old church will also remain in use in the new church. That organ is an interesting English organ. It is a Conacher & Co organ built in 1885 that was initially used in the Ontmoetingskerk in Loosduinen after the closure of the church building in Wales .

Hall church originally from 1893, in former homes. Front facade with turret added in 1951. The interior got its current form during a major restoration in 1985-1986. Organ from 1908 by J. Proper with front from around 1850.

The Old Church of St. Andrew, located next to the Cathedral of Agios Andreas, was the first building dedicated to this saint on the square. The temple was designed by Lysandros Kaftanzoglou in the late 19th century. The new Cathedral of Saint Andrew was built in the first half of the 20th century and inaugurated in 1974.

The old St. Peter's Church was first mentioned in the 12th century, but the construction of the present Gothic church began in the 14th century. With the Reformation, the church became Protestant in 1529, but when Louis XIV conquered the city in 1683, parts of the church were returned to the Catholics and a wall was built to separate the two areas. Today, the part of the church on the side of the 22-November street is dedicated to Catholic worship while the part overlooking the Grand'rue is dedicated to Protestant worship.

This rare survival of 13th century domestic architecture gives an illuminating impression of the life of a rich medieval family. The manor belonged to the Culpeppers, a leading Kentish family in the Middle Ages who were major landowners.

The old Stordal church, also called "Rosekyrkja", was completed in 1789. The old Stave church, which may have been there since the 1300s, was destroyed for the construction of the new church. Pastor Ebbe Carsten Tønder designed the new church. The walls of the church are completely covered with paint, and it was after this rose painting that the church was named. The church has been owned by the Society for the Preservation of Old Norwegian Monuments since 1908.

The Old Synagogue in Alba Iulia is an Ashkenazi synagogue that was built in 1938. A former synagogue was already built in 1840. The synagogue was recently repaired in 2017. This Neo-Baroque brick building still serves as a synagogue. Alba Iulia is the oldest Jewish settlement in Transylvania, where Jewish presence was recorded in the late 16th century. In 1653, the region's code of laws required all Jews in Transylvania to live exclusively in this town. Until 1879, the rabbis of Alba Iulia were considered to be the chief rabbis of all Jews in Transylvania.
