De Goede Reede

De Graankorrel

Hoofddorp, NL

Wooden church building with roof turret. Since April 30, 2019, the building at IJweg 1100 in Hoofddorp has been the property and on Sunday, March 1, 2020, the congregation was able to celebrate our first church service here with gratitude. In the meantime, the building has been refurbished and made suitable for our church services and weekday activities. Previously, the congregation had its own building at the Liesbos (from 1996) and we held church services in the auditorium of the Haarlemmermeer Lyceum (from 2004). Now everything is centered in one location! The building is not a traditional church building. It was originally built as a temporary extension of the KSH (Catholic Scholengemeenschap Hoofddorp) and mainly contained classrooms. After a few years, the extension was no longer necessary and the building was purchased by De Meerkerk, who started holding church services in this building and later used it as a meeting and office center. The building on the IJweg is located on a central road through the Haarlemmermeer, on the border of the Overbos and Bornholm districts, and close to Toolenburg, and offers the opportunity to have its own permanent location for church services both on Sundays and during the week.
