W. de Wit led a special church service. He preached based on 2 Chronicles 7 verse 5b: "Thus the king and all the people have dedicated the house of God." Due to the growth in the number of tourists attending church services, the church building was expanded with a hall in 1972. 300 seats. In 1984, the organ was restored. Parts from the organ of the 'Vredekerk' in Katwijk aan Zee were used for this purpose.

Gereformeerde Gemeente

Dirksland, NL

The church of the Reformed Church on the Geldersedijk became too small and no longer met the requirements of the present day. New construction or renovation on that site did not seem attractive. A new church was built on the Mozartsingel, designed by Valk Architects in Soest. The last service was held in the old church on Sunday 23 June 2002. The opening service took place in the new church on Wednesday 26 June 2002. There is room for 1000 churchgoers. There are also four club rooms, a crèche, a church council room, a kitchen, a library and a mortuary.
