Standing on a mound in the village is this one-aisled church with a three-sided closed chancel and Romanesque arches in the north wall. In the pointed roof turret hangs a loud bell from the 13th / 14th century.

A closed, 13th century hall church that is completely plastered. Underneath the plasterwork however, remains a lot of the original building material.

The first church that was founded in New Beerta was not too solid; after ten years it was seriously damaged, just like the presbytery. A new church was built at the end of the 17th century. In September 1696 this second church was inaugurated.

After the reclamation of a part of the Dollard, a settlement was established in 1659, which was designated as Scheemderhamrik. A newly formed reformed municipality split from Scheemda. New Scheemda was born and immediately started building a church. This was completed in 1661 and provided with a real clockwork; the dial is in the 'dakkapel'.

A simple 17th century hall church with large round arch windows and a small roof turret. Both the north wall and the west wall contain an entrance under a basket arch.

The imposing cruciform church was built in the early 14th century in a predominantly late-Roman style. It is easily recognised by the layout and processing of the walls; a lower and upper zone with a lot of decorative masonry in the upper zone.

This church is the starting point of the 12 kilometer long 'Leedaanzeggerspad', a route that, in the 19th century, before telephone, telegraph and smartphone, a 'preacher' would follow with a special task: to report door-to-door in Noordwijk and surroundings and inform them of the demise of a fellow inhabitant. Visitors can now join the route and follow the path over the remaining paths and vanished roads. And remember: 'The mortuis nil nisi bene'.
