Pechersk Lavra (Cave Monastery) is an Orthodox monastic complex in Kyiv. It was founded in 1051 as a cave monastery by monks from Mount Athos in Greece. In its early years, the monastery consisted of churches, chapels and cells built of wood, but as early as 1073, work began on the construction of a stone cathedral, the forerunner of the present Dormition Cathedral, which was completed in 1089. In the early modern period, the monastery became a centre of Orthodox pilgrimage for the entire Russian Empire. The 17th and 18th centuries were periods of great renewal for the monastery, which grew to its present size, including the most significant representations of Baroque and Rococo painting and architecture. In 1994, it was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The monastery of Kyritz is a former Franciscan monastery dating from the 13th century. The Franciscan monastery was dissolved in 1552 with the arrival of the Reformation in Kyritz in 1539. By 1781, the monastery buildings had become dilapidated after decades of careless use. From 1995, the remaining buildings were restored and the monastery site now serves as a museum of the history of the town, a tourist information centre, a building for events and a public library.

Supposedly, the cemetery of Kysylyn emerged in the 18th century. It appears on Russian maps of the mid-19th century. The cemetery was destroyed during or after WWII. Nowadays it is overgrown with forest. At least one gravestone is present, though the exact number is not known due to dense vegetation.

The church with the name Agia Anna is located in the Syrkania quarter and according to sources is a new building erected in the middle of the 19th century. This church replaced an old church of the same name nearby which had to be abandoned due to landslides. At the south entrance, the date 1894 has been incorporated in the arch ornamentation.The church was converted into a mosque after 1974, so all the furnishings of an Orthodox church were removed. After the construction of a new mosque in the village, the building was left to its own devices. On the day of the survey, the church was locked.

According to Kassinis, the church was built in the middle of the 19th century and extensively renovated in 1909. After being in serious danger of collapse in the 2000s, the church was repaired in 2019. The building was locked on the day of the survey.
