In 1914, the first services were held in Dordrecht as a department of the Reformed Church in Ridderkerk. They met in the Patrimonium building for this purpose. In 1921, they moved into a church building on the Museumstraat . After the vast majority of the congregation had transferred to the Old Reformed Churches, church services were held again around 1931 by the Reformed Church in Dordrecht. They met again in the Patrimonium building. In 1931, the church community moved to a temporary school converted into a church on the Kromhout. On 27 October 1937, the church building on the Kasperpad was put into use with 650 seats.

Lehnin Abbey, was in operation as a Cistercian abbey from 1180 to 1542. Of great cultural influence in the Middle Ages, its restoration in the years 1871-1877 was a milestone in architectural restoration. Since 1911, it has housed the Louise-Henriette Foundation.

The Leikanger church is a stone church dating from around 1250. Around 1872, a lower and narrower choir was built, with a sacristy to the north-east. At the same time, the 17th-century tower was replaced by a new tower in neo-gothic style. When the church was restored in the years 1930-50 under the direction of architect Johan Lindstrøm, the 19th-century tower was demolished and replaced by a modern tower.
