The origins of the Dorpskerk in Dinxperlo date back to around 1280. The current church was built on the foundations of this church. At the time of the Reformation, the congregation converted to the 'new doctrine'. The church is a late Gothic pseudo-basilica. The current building has a fifteenth-century choir and a sixteenth-century nave. The narrow rear part of the church - the choir - was the first stone chapel.
