The Toussaints church is a parish church in Rennes located south of the Vilaine river, in baroque counter-reform style. The present church replaces the old Toussaint church which was located on the site of the present Halles further west. The first stone was laid on 16 July 1624 by the bishop of Rennes.

The church was originally built between 1703 and 1731. Back then, it was used as a Roman Catholic church of the Holy Trinity of the Trinitarian Order. The style of the building was French classicism with a Baroque interior. The monastery was abolished by the Holy Roman Emperor Joseph II in 1783, after which the church was used as a library of the Lviv University. In 1848, the building was destroyed by Austrian artillery during the Spring of Nations. It was the Greek Catholic Church that rebuilt the church. Most of the original design was kept, but the apse was added to the short presbytery, and domes that now dominate the facade were built on the church towers. The interior needed to undergo much deeper changes to suit the needs of Eastern Rite liturgy.

The church of Vera Cruz was completed in 1208 and probably built by the Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. An apse was added to the original building, which is now used as a sacristy, and later the tower was added, which was initially separated from the temple, and later the three apses that make up the head of the present church. It is an incredibly well preserved Romanesque church and was declared a National Monument in 1919.

Église catholique Saint-Jean-Baptiste pro-cathédrale d’Arras was built during the 16th century, under the patronage of Saint Nicolas in the Moats, replacing a church in the moats where Saint Thomas à Becket had preached, it was saved from destruction during the French Revolution because it became the ‘Temple of Reason’. It was the temporary cathedral between 1803 and 1833. In 1915 it was burnt down in the bombings of the town, causing the death of two heroic firemen.

St. Mary of the Angels Church, or "Church Street", is a Capuchin church dating from the late 19th century. The Capuchin friars first arrived in Dublin in 1615, but it was not until 1624 that the first convent was established in Bridge Street. They arrived in Church Street in 1690, shortly after the Battle of the Boyne and opened a mass house on the site of the present church. The mass house was enlarged in 1796. The present church dates from 1881 and was designed by James J. McCarthy.
