The Hitra Church was designed by architect Claus Johannessen Hjelte and was completed in 1927. The plan forms a Greek cross with a barrel vault above the arms of the cross and with small extensions of the choir and the gallery indicating direction and length, and with a massive tower with a semi-circular dome in the middle with a cross. The church is characterised by old, ecclesiastical or Byzantine main forms, with a Norwegian medieval tradition in the materials and a little Norwegian Baroque in the details.

The Hjørundfjord church was designed in 1880 by architect Henrik Nissen. The church was restored in 1961 and then given new colours. The altarpiece from the Stave church that preceded the church has been placed in the new church.

Hlíðarendakirkja was built in 1898. The church is dedicated to Saint Þorlákur, a native of Hlíðarendur. It is abundantly illustrated and beautifully painted inside. The altarpiece is a replica of an altarpiece from a church in Denmark and dates from the time of the church's consecration.

Reformed Church and Tower. Two-aisled nave, 1644, rebuilt after fire in 1939. Tower 1628. Pulpit (17th century) from former Galilean Church in Leeuwarden. Entrance portal 1644. The bell tower contains two bells, one by Jacob Noteman (1636, diam. 116.8 cm) and one by L. Haverkamp (the "Jouster Merktklokje" from 1790, diam. 54.6 cm). In the open dome on the tower, there is another striking bell. This was made by Gregorius van Hall in 1603 (diam. 96.3 cm.).

The Hobro church was consecrated in 1852. It was designed by the then Jutland Building Inspector Michael Gottlieb Bindesbøll (best known for the Thorvaldsens Museum). In 1846 the church that stood on the site collapsed. It was demolished in 1848 to make way for the new church.

Hobøl church is a medieval stone church (approx. 1175) with a high and short rectangular nave, a porch to the west and a narrower choir to the east, with a semicircular addition, also called an apse. The only medieval element preserved in the church is the baptismal font.
