Dutch Reformed Church. Since changes after destruction by the French in 1672 consisting of a three-sided closed choir of two bays, from the 15th century, two low, 15th century, shortened in the 19th century, transepts, a 15th century nave of five bays, enlarged around 1500 with a north aisle and a built-in 14th century tower with buttresses on the west side, an arched frieze under the spire and a vault over the lower space. Internal columns with molding capitals and wooden barrel vaults. Restoration completed in 1963. Oak pulpit, baptismal fence and associated copper work from 1680, replaced. 17th and 18th century tombstones. Mechanical wrought iron tower clock by Juriaan van Zutphen, 1695, electric winding.

Important interbellum church. The Herv. church of Emmer-Compascuum (De Runde ZZ 108) is a straight closed hall church with a side standing unarticulated tower with saddle roof. The church, built in 1925, shows business-expressionist details. (Source: DBL)

The church stands on the site of a medieval church that was probably built around 1300. The spire is made of wood. Under the wooden floor are four gravestones of the pastors from the time before the reformation.

Dutch Reformed Church. Of this building, only the tufa substructure of the tower, the interior of which is covered with a dome vault, should be considered a monument; 13th century. Restored in 1953 after the destruction of the church and the tower in 1944.

Dutch Reformed Church. Single-nave late Gothic building, consisting of a nave (16th century) and a narrower 15th century choir. In the west facade above the entrance a pointed arch niche with traceries; above this facade a wooden tower. Pulpit 1709; copper baptismal arch 17th century; Ten Commandments board 1642; three copper crowns; two silver communion cups 1655. Bell frame with bell by Geert van Wou, from 1504.

Reformed Church and tower, situated on a churchyard. Simple village church from 1774. The church contains a richly carved pulpit with a rear bulkhead and sounding board from 1699. The organ was made in 1874 by L. van Dam and Sons. It has a bell tower with a bell by G. van Wou, from the 1500s. The mechanical tower clock was made by Gebr. van Bergen in 1918.

The oldest, Romanesque, part is the base of the tower and the two westernmost bays. This part was built around 1200. A few decades later, the building was extended in Romanesque Gothic style, with a recessed semicircular apse being built on the east side. The beautiful brickwork was hidden for years by a layer of plaster. Halfway through the 20th century, the church was restored, with the brickwork being made visible again. (Source: [1] )

The Reformed Church of Sleeuwijk has existed since 1618. For centuries, church services were held in the 'Old Church' at Kerkeinde, a few kilometres outside the village.
